Academic Overview
Our K-12 online public school curriculum offers rich and engaging content carefully designed to meet the standards required by the state of Arizona. At Virtual Preparatory Academy of Arizona, students are engaged in academics, participating in various activities and assessments appropriate to the courses being studied, including labs, journals, written assignments, discussions, group and individual projects, formative assessments, objective tests, and written exams.
Elementary
The elementary school years prepare students by teaching them vital subjects, such as reading, science and mathematics. During these formative years, they also develop critical thinking skills, learn to solve problems, understand abstract ideas, and time management skills that will help lay the foundation for future success.
Middle School
The middle school years are an essential time for the development of critical thinking and problem-solving strategies. We strive to provide a relevant, engaging, and challenging curriculum that is developmentally appropriate, meets their individual needs, and prepares them for high school.
