Step 1: Confirm Your Eligibility to Transfer
Before beginning the transfer process, make sure your student meets basic enrollment criteria. The good news is that most Arizona families do.
To transfer to Virtual Prep Academy of Arizona, students must:
- Be a current Arizona resident.
- Be entering or currently enrolled in grades K-11.
- Meet minimum age requirements for grade level; for Kindergarten, this means being age 5 by September 1st of the current school year.
- Be transferring mid-year or for an upcoming term.
- Have not graduated from high school.
Even if the school year is already underway, it’s not too late to switch. Students can still enroll in online learning and smoothly transition into our environment. We offer options for online elementary, middle, and high school students in Arizona.
Step 2: Gather the Documents You’ll Need
We designed the process of transferring to Virtual Prep Academy of Arizona to be as easy as possible. To get started, you’ll need to provide a few basic documents. The VPREP enrollment team can help you with any questions.
Required documents include:
- Proof of Arizona residency (such as a utility bill, lease agreement, etc.)
- Your student’s birth certificate
- Your student’s most recent transcript or report card
- Any applicable IEP or 504 documentation
Having these items close at hand speeds up the transfer process and lets your child start learning without delay.
